These are some of the upcoming changes as outlined by HMRC.
From the end of 2023
S&S requirements for certain low-risk movements, including outbound freeport goods, outbound transit and exported fish, will be removed. This will make transporting certain low-risk goods more straightforward for Traders.
From 31st January 2025
S&S GB (or SSGB) declarations will be a mandatory requirement for EU to GB imports. Businesses who are ready to start submitting S&S declarations before this date are encouraged to do so.
Meanwhile, the S&S dataset for imports will be reduced from 37 fields, removing "unnecessary burden on Traders by removing the need for them to provide more data than is essential for risking".
From 2025
Transit Security Accompanying Documents (TSADs) will be available. This will allow Traders to "submit both transit and S&S declarations using a single (TSAD) document)".
